Martin Molpeceres

Martin Molpeceres is a USC alumnus and Canadian filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada.

Martin always knew he wanted to be a storyteller but struggled to find the right medium for his voice. In high school he experimented with theatre and online fanfiction. After moving to Montreal to pursue a degree in history at McGill, Martin transitioned into stand-up comedy and improv. After finding success both as a performer and a show producer—to this day one of his proudest achievements is having produced an all LGBTQ+ standup show in collaboration with Pride Montreal—Martin discovered his passion in film. He worked as an assistant director in Toronto before moving to Los Angeles to attend USC’s acclaimed film program. Today primarily writes and edits—whatever lets him get into the nuts and bolts of a story.

Martin gravitates towards stories about hope in hopeless circumstances. When not making movies he’s cooking, playing D&D, or watching too much Youtube.
